The Seniors had their 2nd game of the SFL on Sunday 8th April away to Truagh. We started off very slow going in at half time 0-07 points to 0-01 down. The 2nd half was a different game though, in what turned out to be very wet and slippy conditions. We fought back well and scored 9 points to Truaghs 2 with a final score line of Scotstown 0-10, Truagh 0-9. Scorers on the day Rory 0-3, Conor 0-2, Shane 0-2, Francis 0-1, Emmet 0-1 & Darren 0-1. They next meet Monaghan Harps at home on Sunday 22nd April @ 2pm.
The Reserves meet Clontibret at home on Saturday 14th April @ 4pm
The Juniors were defeated on Saturday 7th April in a very tight game against Killeevan. We were up 0-07 points to 0-04 going in at half time. Both teams kept battling strong and 22 minutes into the second half the score was 0-12 points apiece. Killeevan managed to score another point in the 29th minute, ending the game with a scoreline of Scotstown 0-12, Killeevan 0-13. We now meet Emyvale at home on Friday 13th @7.15pm
The Minors were defeated on Tuesday 3rd by Monaghan Harps. We were up by 4 points going in at half time but the Harps came out strong in the 2nd half and took the win. Final Score Scotstown 1-12, Monaghan Harps 2,10
The Div 2 Team were defeated by Clones on Thursday 5th. Their next game is against Clontibret at home on Thursday 12th April @6.30.
The Div 5 Team unfortunately lost out to a very strong Tyholland team on Friday 6th.
The Div 1 Team played a great game on Saturday against a strong Clones side. But, unfortunately lost out by a point in the end.
The Div 2 Team had a good win against Clan na Gael on Saturday in Oram in muddy conditions . Their next game is away to Magheracloone on Saturday 14th April @2.30
Our Senior Ladies face Sean McDermotts away in Round 1 of the Div.3 Senior League on Sunday 15th @ 3pm

Child Protection Courses
The Club are holding two separate Child Protection Courses – Monday 16th April and Thursday 26th April in Complex Meeting Room from 7pm to 10pm. This is open and free to all club members and is now a legal requirement for anyone involved in coaching of underage teams. The course covers you for 3 years. Please contact Helen on 087 928 6033 confirming date of attendance.
Congratulations to Bernie Sherry and the Health & Wellness Committee on their recent Community Award from Monaghan County Council for “make your Ceili”. The awards were held on Monday 9th April in the Four Seasons and the club was well represented on the night. We would also like to congratulate all the other award recipients especially those from the Tydavnet area.
A training/refresher course on Defibrillator use will be held in the Complex on Thursday 12th April @ 7.30pm. All welcome – as you never know when you may need it.
