Scór Sinsir

The Scór Sinsir Babhta Ceannais na hÉireann will take place in the Citywest Hotel Dublin on April 25th. Our club will be represented by  Mollie McKeever  in the Solo Singing and the quiz team consisting of – Niall Ó  Lamhna, Peadar Ó Lamhna, Séamus Ó Gionnáin and Seán Ó Corra. Tickets for this can be ordered from Pauline Rooney or contact any committee member. Good luck to both Mollie and the quiz team this weekend. Co. Monaghan Credit Unions SFL

The senior team enjoyed 2 good wins last week. On Wednesday evening they overcame Donaghmoyne 1-20 to 2-8. On Saturday Inniskeen were also beaten on a score line of 2-19 to 0-7. This week on Wednesday 22nd it is a repeat of last years county final with us travelling away to Clontibret for a 7.30pm throw in. On Sunday 26th the seniors are out again with a home game against Latton at 4pm.

 

Eurotech JFL

Our Junior team battled hard but Blackhill held on for a 1-13 to 0-13 win on Friday night last. Their next game is at away this Wednesday 22nd at 7.30pm to Killanny. They then play Killeevan in a curtain raiser to the senior game on Sunday 26th with throw in at 2pm at home.

 

Platinum Tanks Reserve League Division 1A

The next game is on Sunday 10th May at home to Magheracloone at 3pm.

 

Maguire Transport MFL Division 1

The minors continued their good form of late disposing of a much fancied St.Patricks team at home last Tuesday night 3-13 to 2-6. They play Monaghan harps tonight Tuesday 21st at 7:15pm in Gavin Duffy Park. They also play Magheracloone this Saturday 25th at home at 4pm in a game that was postponed earlier in the competition.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U16 Division 1

The U16 boys lost to Truagh 3-11 to 2-5 on Thursday evening. They play Aughnamullen this Thursday 23rd at 6:45pm at home.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U14 Division 1

It was not to be for the boys in the semi final of the championship on Thursday night. A more skillfull Castleblayney team ran out 2-12 to 1-3 winners. The boys can very proud of their performance over Monaghan Harps in the Quarter Final and also against Castleblayney and can now focus on the remaining games of the league. The U14 Division 5 side have a bye this weekend.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U12 Spring Leagues

The U12 boys have 2 games against Castleblayney tonight Tuesday the 21st at home. 1st game is at 6.30pm whilst the 2nd will commence at 7:45pm sharp.

 

Senior Ladies

The Senior Ladies lost to Corduff on Thursday night.

 

Senior Ladies NCSG – Reserve League

The next reserve ladies game is fixed for Sunday 26th April away to Latton at 5pm.

 

Minor Girls

The game on Monday was cancelled and no refix date has been released as of yet.

 

U16 Girls

The U16 girls will have a game on Monday 27th. No confirmation of opposition etc. has been released. Please check with management during the week.

 

U14 Girls

The U14 girls travelled to Ballybay on Monday evening but faced a strong St.Brigids side. Some excellent football was played but unfortuantely the girls lost on a scoreline  of 9-10 to 4-6.

Female Help Needed

We need some female help for our Minor and U16 ladies teams and also help at our U6/8 and U10 academy on Saturday mornings. We have coaches in place but need extra help to come with the large numbers we cater for. If anyone would like to volunteer please contact Mark on 086-8937705 for more details. No coaching experience is necessary.

This month’s Ciste draw will take place on Saturday night the 25th in the Social Club.

Ciorcal Gaeilge every Tuesday in the meeting room, sports complex between 8.30pm-9.30pm. Fáilte roimh gach duine.

Our club shop is open this Friday 7-8pm.

 

Sports First Aid

A Sports First Aid course will take place in the Complex on Wednesday, 29th April from 6:30pm-10pm. This course is aimed at all coaches/mentors involved with any juvenile or adult club team. Well done

Congratulations to Michelle Caulfield who was recently crowned Monaghan Rose 2015. Michelle will now represent County Monaghan at the Regional Finals of the Rose of Tralee on the Bank Holiday weekend in June.
