On behalf of Scotstown GAA, we would like to extend our best wishes to Sean Mulligan who will be ordained as a priest for the Dioceses of Clogher on Sunday 1st July 2018 in St Macartans Cathedral, Monaghan. Sean first tasted success for his Gaelic footballing skills with Knockatallon National School! Sean went on to play at all levels in the club, winning honours at Juvenile, Junior and Senior levels. He won two Senior County Championship medals and was Captain of the Senior Team in 1997. At secondary school, Sean played for Beech Hill College and he has represented the county at all levels. After his playing career ended, Sean got involved in coaching and coached ladies’ teams in the club for ten years, winning Junior leagues, Junior and Intermediate championships and Community Games Ulster titles. Sean was an outstanding wing back and was always a calm, composed member of any panel and strove to bring out the best in all players and officials.
Ba maith leis an gClub ár mbuíochas a ghabháil le Sean as ucht an obair a rinne sé dúinn i rith na bliana.
Health & Wellbeing
There has been a couple of more groups added to our walking repertoire. “After Work” walk every Tues/Wed @ 6.30pm with Cathy & Enda Bennett and a “Late Night” walk every Tues/Thurs @ 9.30pm with Nuala Smith. These are in conjunction with our 8.30pm weekday group with “Margaret the Motivator” and the 7am morning groups (Tues/Thurs with Pauric Duffy & Wed/Fri with Mickey Owen & Briege McMahon). Plenty of times to choose from people. Maybe the 8th Annual “Ned Run” on the 3rd of August could be motivation for some of you. Either way, grab your runners and head to Kilmore and take “One Step at a Time”.
Well Done to our County Lads on their victory over Waterford last Saturday and the best of luck this Saturday in Leitrim
