The reserves secured 2 points in their opening league game this afternoon after an excellent 2nd half display coming from a point down at half time to win with 11 points to spare. The home side raced into a 0-7 to 0-3 lead midway through the first half but Scotstown responded well with points from Gerard McCrudden (2), Conor Caulfied and Ruari Sheehan to leave it 0-8 t0 0-7 in favour of Monaghan Harps at the break. In the 2nd half Scotstown built up momentum and hit 5 quick unanswered points from Michéal McCarville (2), Gerard McCrudden, Ruari Sheehan and Emmet McCrudden. A late Donnacha Dolan goal topped off an excellent 2nd half performance to run out winners on a scoreline of 1-19 to 0-11. Next up for the reserves is Latton at home on Saturday 26th March at 5pm.
