Ulster Senior Football Championship Preliminary Round – Monaghan 1-12 Cavan 3-12
Last Sunday on a windy day in Clones Monaghan began their senior championship campaign with an Ulster Senior Football Championship preliminary round game against neighbours Cavan. Hard luck to the team and management, including our Blues who played, Rory, Darren, Jack, Conor, and Ryan, with fine scores by Rory Beggan (0-3, 1 from free from 45 and 1 from play) and Jack McCarron (0-2, 1 from free and 1 from play).
