The Seniors had a 1-11 to 0-11 point win over Truagh on Friday in the Shoe City SFL. It was a tight first half with scores from Francis Maguire and Micheál McCarville. A goal from Francis took the half time score to Scotstown 1-05, Truagh 0-05. Truagh never really regained the goal deficit and some great scores in the second half took the final score to Scotstown 1-11, Truagh 0-11.

The Juniors were unfortunately beaten by Cremartin 1-21 to 1-8 on Friday. They are not out now until the 20th July when they meet Truagh at home @ 8pm in the Eurotech JFL Shield Round 1.
The Reserves are in the Reserve Championship O’Duffy Cup Final which has been changed again to 25th July. They are also at home to Latton on Saturday 14th July @ 5.00pm
The U21s are away to Inniskeen on Tue 10th July at 8pm in the Quarter Final.
The Minors were beaten by Carrickmacross Emmets in the Div 1 Shield Semi Final last week. They are now at home to Latton in the Maguire International MFC Preliminary Round on Tuesday 17th July @ 7.30pm.
The Div 2 Team beat Clontibret 2-15 to 3-09 in Round 1 of the Championship on Thurs 5th and also won their League game against Patrick Emmets on Sat 7th 0-16 to 1-11. They are next at home to Latton on Thursday 12th July @ 6.30pm.
The Div 5 Team have a Bye this Thursday.
The Div 1 Team game against Carrickmacross away on Sun 1st July was postponed. They are next at home against Monaghan Harps on Sunday 15th July @ 12pm
The Div 2 Team are next at home to Latton O’Reilly on Sunday 15th July @ 12pm
The Div 5 Team were beaten by a strong Donaghmoyne side on Wed 4th July, they are now at home against Castleblayney on Sunday 15th July @ 2.30pm.
Our Senior Ladies had a great win over St Bridgets on Sunday in the first game of the Junior Championship – they next have a Reserve game on Sunday 15th.
Congrats to our Juvenile girls who played at half time during the ladies match on Sunday – well done to you all !.
Our Minor Ladies are next at home to Carrickmacross on Thursday 19th July.
Our U16 ladies were narrowly beaten by a strong Castleblayney side on Mon 9th.
Our U14 girls were well beaten last week by a very strong Carrickmacross side. We were missing a lot of girls, and even though the girls were defeated, they all had a very positive attitude and all of them got a good run out. Training continues for championship.
Our U12 ladies are at home to Monaghan Harps Tues 10th and also away to Emyvale on Thusday 12th.
We would just like to say ” Well Done” to all our Juvenile Teams who have played over the past week or so. Our U11s had two very competitive games with Blayney, our U15s had an epic win in the Championship over Clontibret, but win, lose or draw – it really is about taking part and enjoying the game – the future is indeed blue.
Health & Wellbeing
Now, for those of you that like a faster pace when walking/running – there is a new running group (two steps at a time) being added to our repertoire. This group will meet at 8.30pm in Kilmore and will be led by Alo Grew and Marie McArdle. Another great chance to prepare for this years Ned Run !!
Can you believe its nearly that time of year again !! The 8th Annual Ned Run will take place from Scotstown GAA Complex on Friday 3rd August @ 7.30pm. Proceeds from the day will be going to Monaghan Hospice, Drumkill Day Centre & The Millennium Club.
Well Done to our County Lads on making it to the Super 8’s. A lot of football has been played over the last few weeks in extremely hot weather. We wish you all the very best of luck on Sunday against Kildare in Croke Park !!
