The Seniors booked their place in the semi-final of the Championship with victory over Ballybay on Sunday by the narrowest of margins. Ballybay made the better start, leading by two points to no score after twelve minutes. Scotstown levelled with two points in quick succession but conceded a penalty which was brilliantly saved by Rory Beggan. Despite that setback, Ballybay continued on the front foot with four unanswered points. A Kieran Hughes point, followed by a pointed free from Beggan left Scotstown trailing by two points at the break. The second half continued to be tightly contested with Scotstown eventually drawing level before taking the lead for the first time in the game through a Conor McCarthy point with five minutes remaining. Ballybay drew level again before McCarthy pointed a late free to clinch the win for the Blues on a final score of 0-9 to 0-8.
