Results
The U14’S had great win over Latton in the Quarter Final of the championship on a score line of 6-7 to 3-6
The Junior game saw a much changed team as a result of holidays, injury and the Senior star game. The result wasn’t what we hoped for but it’s great to see so many boys making themselves available to play .
The Senior Men played a star game on Friday in Scotstown. A tight first half saw both teams wasteful in front of goal. Scotstown tagged on to late first half point to go in at the break 0-6 to 0-3 up. Three early points in the second half put Scotstown 6 up but a wonder goal and a point suddenly left a 2 point game. The teams shared 4 points before Ballybay scored a second goal to put them one up. A blistering end line run by Michael McCarville saw him awarded a penalty after he was upended in the square. Up steps James Turley (a spectator who shall remain nameless did suggest he wasn’t the first choice penalty taker) and James rifled the shot to the keeper’s right restoring Scotstown lead. Final score 1-11 to 2-6
The U12 girls went down to the Harps in their first game. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Ella McKenna a speedy recovery from her wrist break.
