The Senior ladies have kept the cups rolling in. In Blackhill on Saturday last they added the Junior League Title to the Junior Championship & Reserve Title secured earlier in the summer. As the old saying goes – goals win games – and that was not disproved with the girls haul of 4 as part of 4-09 to 2- 08 .

The Lads have made it 4 in a Row. In blustery conditions in Clones, Scotstown secured their 19th Senior Championship title on a score line 1-13 to 0-13. An early score from Francis Maguire settled any of the nerves there might have been. The work rate of both teams was phenomenal and if you found a way to raise the white flag, it was hard earned. Both teams spurned goal chances in the first period but a score line of 0-8 to 0-4 in favour of Scotstown, left the second half nicely poised. Ballybay took early blood with a point in the first 30 seconds of the new half and added a second – their 6th after 4 minutes. But a purple patch between the 5th and 9th minute saw Scotstown push out to a 7 point lead. Both teams scored a brace of points leaving the 7 in it with 22 gone. 2 points from Ballybay , another from Scotstown and the last 3 from Ballybay took the final score to 1-13 to 0-13. Team, Rory Beggan(0-2), Paul Sherlock, Ryan O’Toole, Jack McDevitt, Damian McArdle, Donal Morgan(0-1), Emmett Caulfield, Kieran Hughes(0-1), Frank Caulfield, Jamie McCarey(0-1), Shane Carey (0-3), Francis Maguire(0-2), Conor McCarthy(1-3), Darren Hughes, Orin Heaphy, Subs:R. McKenna for F. Caulfield, F. McPhilips for E. Caulfield, M. McCarville for F.Maguire and B.Boylan for P.Sherlock.
The Senior Men next meet Derrygonnelly of Fermanagh in Clones at 2.30 on Sunday 21st October.
The Juniors and management have done it – they beat Oram on Sunday 14th in the Eurotech JFL Shield Final on a Scoreline of 0-13 to 0-03.
We got the first point of the game when Mark Treanor put one between the posts in the first minute. It was pretty much point for point after that but we pulled ahead by 3 points by the half time whistle, with the half time score being 0-6 t0-0-3 to us. We came out far stronger in the second half and kept Oram at bay for the full 33 minutes (including injury time) and prevented them getting a scoring chance at all. The lads all played exceptionally well and their hard work and determination paid off and they got to lift the cup at the end of the day.
Team on the Day: Conor Forde (0-1), Eanna McCarney, Kieran McGuirk (0-1), Lorcan Murray, Ryan Caulfield, Cian Mohan, Adrian Carbin (0-2), Peter Hamill, Ruairi McKenna, Jason Carey, Mark Treanor (0-2), Nessan McCrudden, Matthew Maguire (0-2), James Corley, Ruairi Sheehan (0-5)
Subs: Jack Mohan for James Corley, Paudie Meehan for Nessan McCrudden, Mark Fox for Ruairi McKenna
