An Bhoth had an excellent team of performers on show at the Scor na bpaisti (national school) in the finals in Ardaghy on Saturday evening last. Congratulations to the team of Ellie Meehan, Joshua Mullen, Catherine Meehan, Peter McCarra, Abi Corrigan, Nadine McCarra, Anna Marie Murray and Amy Mc Meel. In recitation, Emma McKenna was a popular winner, securing her second title with Noel Joyce's composition " Mammy's day in Tramore" . A super rendition by the talented young lady. In solo singing, Nessa Mulligan, the star of Corblonog, gave a stirling performance singing " The star of the County Down"" and secured an excellent second place in a strong competition.
Also securing second place were our musicians Riley Corrigan guitar, Abi Corrigan accordion, Conor McPhillips banjo, Haley Treanor concertina and Sophie Fitzpatrick fiddle. Our second team of talented musicians, playing under the Scotstown Ladies banner had to be content with third place.
