Latest Update - June 28th
Our gates opened on Wednesday, June 24th, and our adults have been out training. From Saturday 27th June our minors and juveniles can train at our facilities. Please keep mind the following;
1. The indoor buildings remain closed.
2. Please use the outdoor set of toilets
3. Only outdoor facilities can be used
4. Only people that are training are allowed on the pitch.

5. Please remember the 3 C's - Avoid Crowds, Avoid Closed Spaces, Avoid Close Contact

The following changes to the return to activity guidelines are being made after recommendations made by the Covid-19 Advisory Committee. These changes were subsequently endorsed by the GAA, the Camogie Association and the LGFA.
This week:
Coaching numbers for underage teams to be consistent with Code of Behaviour. Recommendations were made by the Covid-19 Advisory Committee this morning.
From June 29th:
The Advisory Committee is considering the position in relation to other GAA buildings (such as Club bars that are serving food, Gyms, Handball alleys etc). Our Blues Competitive Games in the past week
Under 14s
Round 4 of the Under 14 League competition took place last weekend. The Scotstown A team’s game against Truagh scheduled for Saturday last was postponed. They now play Truagh at home in Round 4 of the Under 14 League Competition Division 1 this Friday May 3rd at 7:00pm. The Scotstown A team then play Monaghan Harps away in Round 5 of the Under 14 League Competition Division 1 on Saturday 11th May at 11:00am. Well done to the Scotstown B team in their win against Aughnamullen away in Round 4 of the Under 14 League Competition Division 5A on Saturday last. The Scotstown B team next play Inniskeen at home in Round 5 of the Under 14 League Competition Division 5A on Sunday May 12th at 11:00am. Hard luck to the Scotstown C team in their defeat against Donaghmoyne at home in Round 4 of the Under 14 League Competition Division 5B on Friday last.
Under 16s
Well done to the Under 16 Scotstown A team in their 2-8 to 1-10 win against Carrickmacross away in Round 5 of the Under 16 Division 1B League game on Thursday of last week. They next play Castleblayney away in Round 1 of the Under 16 Division 1B League this Thursday 2nd May at 7:30pm. Our Under 16 boys B team had no games in the past week. They next play Truagh away in Round 6 of the Under 16 Division 5A League this Wednesday 1st May at 7:30pm.
Minors
Our Minor A team played Truagh at home in Round 4 of the Minor Division 1 League on Tuesday of last week. Hard luck in their 4-11 to 0-9 defeat. They next play Castleblayney away in Round 5 of the Minor Division 1 League on Tuesday May 7th at 7:30pm.
Our Minor B team had no games in the past week. They next play Castleblayney at home in Round 2 of the Minor Division 5 League on Tuesday 30th April at 7:30pm.
Senior Men
Our Senior men continued their senior leagues campaign with a trip to Killanny on Saturday last for Round 2. Well done in their 0-13 to 1-9 win. They next play Corduff at home in Round 3 of the Senior League this Saturday May 4th at 5:00pm.
Junior Men
Our Junior men played their Round 2 game on Saturday evening last against Aghabog at home. Hard luck in their narrow 1-8 to 1-7 defeat, after putting another good performance with fine scores by Dermot McCrudden (1-1), Adam Monahan (0-3), Domhnaill Moyna (0-2) and Ben Sherlock (0-1). They next play Eire Og away in Round 3 of the Junior League on Saturday 4th May at 7:00pm.
Senior Division 1A Reserves
The Senior reserves had no games in the past week. They next play Donaghmoyne away in Round 1 of the Reserve League Division 1A on Wednesday 1st May at 7:45pm.
Junior Division 3A Reserves
Our Junior 3A Reserves game against Carrickmacross at home scheduled for Wednesday 24th April at 7:30pm in Round 4 of the Reserve League Division 3A was cancelled as Carrickmacross conceded and Scotstown were awarded the points. They next play Blackhill away this Wednesday 8th May at 7:45pm in Round 5 of the Reserve League Division 3A.
Junior Division 3B Reserves
Our Junior 3B Reserves played Killanny away in Round 2 of the Reserve League Football Division 3B on Sunday last. Well done in their win. They next play Truagh at home in Round 3 of the Reserve League Football Division 3B on Sunday 12th May at 2:00pm.
Senior Ladies
The Scotstown senior ladies continued their senior LGFA Reserve League Division 1 campaign with a round 6 away game against Emmet Og. Hard to the ladies in their defeat. They next play Magheracloone at home this Sunday 5th May at 11:00am in Round 7 of the LGFA Reserve League Division 1.
Under 18 Minor Girls
The LFGA Under 18 girls had no games in the past week. They next play Killanny at home in Round 2 of the LGFA Under 18 Division 1 on Thursday 2nd May at 6:45pm.
Under 16 Girls
The Under 16 girls A team had no games in the past week. The Under 16 girls A team next play Latton at home in Round 3 of the LGFA Under 16 Division 1 on Monday 6th May at 7:00pm. The Under 16 girls B team played Carrickmacross away in Round 2 of the LGFA Under 16 Division 2 on Tuesday of last week. Well done in their 4-2 to 0-8 win. Well done to our Under 14 girls in their 4-13 to 4-4 win against O’Neill Shamrocks at home in Round 2 of the LGFA Under 14 Division 1 on Monday last. They next play Castleblayney at home in Round 3 of the LGFA Under 14 Division 1 on Monday 13th May at 7:00pm.
Under 12 Girls
The Under 12 girls B Team next play Truagh at home in Round 2 of the LGFA Under 12 Round Robin Group 2 North on Friday 10th May at 6:45pm. The Under 12 girls A team play Killeevan at home in Round 2 of the LGFA Under 12 Round Robin Group 1 North on Wednesday 8th May at 6:45pm (Round 1 is a Bye). We wish the teams and management the very best.
Monaghan Intercounty Senior Football
The Monaghan Senior Football team’s next game will be in late May where they have qualified for the All Ireland Group stages and will be placed in Pot 3 (seeded 3 out of 4 teams per group).
LGFA Ulster Senior Ladies Intermediate Championship Semi Final
The Monaghan Ladies next play Tyrone at home in Eire Og’s ground in Smithborough in the Ulster Intermediate Championship Semi Final this Sunday 5th May at 2:00pm. We wish our players on the panel, Casey Treanor, Megan Boylan, Eabha Sherry, Hannah Sherlock, Celine Nally, Katie McCaffery and Katie Sherlock, and the rest of the team and management the very best in the Championship campaign.
2024 Ulster Minor Football Championship
Hard luck to the Monaghan Minors in their 4-13 to 0-10 win against Tyrone away on Saturday. Monaghan are in Group A with Down, Donegal, Fermanagh & Tyrone and have won 2 out of their 3 games. The minors next play Donegal away in Ballybofey in Round 5 of the Ulster Minor Championship this Saturday 4th May at 12:00pm Noon. We wish Darcy Foy, Mark McCaffrey and Cathal McElwain and the rest of the Monaghan team and management the very best.
Under 20 Monaghan Ulster Championship
The Under 20 Monaghan team played Tyrone away in Healy Park in the U20 Ulster Championship Semi final on Wednesday of last week. Hard luck in their narrow 2-9 to 0-14 defeat, but well done in their performances this year and getting to the Semi Final. Well done to our Blues on the panel, Caolan Foy, James McElwain and Nicholas Sherlock.
Under 18 Monaghan Minor Girls – Gold Final of Ulster championship
Hard luck to the Monaghan LGFA Minors and our representatives on the team, Micheala Grew and Shannon Corrigan, in their 8-4 to 4-12 defeat against Tyrone in the Gold Final of the Ulster Minor LGFA Championship on Saturday last. Well done on getting to the Ulster Final.
Under 16s
The Monaghan Under 16 girls qualified for the Semi Final of the LGFA Ulster Under 16 Championship which took place last Sunday against Antrim in Newtownabbey. Hard luck to the team and management and our players on the panel, Ava McGinnity; Aoife Corrigan; Eimear Larmer; Ellie Graham; Hollie Mullen; Isobel Waddington; Katie Mc Cormick and Kristy Mc Cabe in their 2-14 to 2-11 narrow defeat. Well done on getting to the final.
U12 Spring League
The Under 12 Spring League continues this Saturday May 4th at home to Clontibret and Emyvale for Round 4. All the best to all the teams and coaches. Each week there is a focus on a skill challenge in each game. This not only gives the players a chance to work on the focused skill during a game but also gives the coach something to work on for that week leading up to the game.
Kilmore Hub Official Opening
The Kilmore Hub was officially opened by Minister of State Heather Humphreys on Saturday last. Many thanks to all the dignitaries that attended and to the speakers, Declan Flanagan (Monaghan GAA Chairman), Robert Burns (Monaghan County Council CEO), Cllr. David Maxwell (Monaghan County Council Chairperson), Cllr. Cathy Bennett, Minister of State Heather Humphreys, Gabriel O’Connell (Monaghan Integrated Development CEO), Cyril McCrudden and Kevin Connolly. Thanks to everyone who organised this brilliant, memorable opening and to the large amount of people from our community and beyond who attended. Thanks to everyone involved in our Development Committee, past and present, and everyone else involved in transforming the vision of Kilmore from 30 years ago into the state of the art community hub and training facility it is today with more additions in the pipeline! Thanks to all those involved in fundraising and financing, from individuals involved in Cairde to the LEADER fund.

Clothing collection in the Complex this Friday May 3rd and Saturday May 4th
There is a Clothing collection on the May Bank holiday weekend organised with thanks by the Scotstown GAA Ladies. A new year calls for a good clear and out with the old! We will be hosting a clothing collecting on Friday May 3rd and Saturday May 4th, a perfect way to get rid of those clothing items that you've been staring at for years! We will have two collection slots: Friday, 3rd May: 6pm - 8pm; Saturday, May 4th: 10 am - 12pm. Clothing items can be dropped at the Complex during these times.

Health and Wellbeing
Scotstown GAA continues this year with its Healthy Club project which aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve.
During the winter months we renewed the Make a Ceili initiative which was launched before Christmas. Earlier in January / February saw the start of the Operation Transformation walk, the Scotstown Ladies hosted a Women’s Health talk, a drugs and Alcohol awareness workshop with our coaches, and we had several card nights throughout the winter.
