Latest Update - June 28th
Our gates opened on Wednesday, June 24th, and our adults have been out training. From Saturday 27th June our minors and juveniles can train at our facilities. Please keep mind the following;
1. The indoor buildings remain closed.
2. Please use the outdoor set of toilets
3. Only outdoor facilities can be used
4. Only people that are training are allowed on the pitch.
"GET IN, TRAIN, GET OUT!"
5. Please remember the 3 C's - Avoid Crowds, Avoid Closed Spaces, Avoid Close Contact

The following changes to the return to activity guidelines are being made after recommendations made by the Covid-19 Advisory Committee. These changes were subsequently endorsed by the GAA, the Camogie Association and the LGFA.
This week:
Coaching numbers for underage teams to be consistent with Code of Behaviour. Recommendations were made by the Covid-19 Advisory Committee this morning.
From June 29th:
The Advisory Committee is considering the position in relation to other GAA buildings (such as Club bars that are serving food, Gyms, Handball alleys etc). Our Blues Competitive Games in the past week
Under 14s
Hard luck to our Under 14 boys A team in their 3-13 to 2-12 defeat to Donaghmoyne away in Round 2 of the Under 14 Cup Competition Division 1 Group A on Saturday last. Our Under 14 boys A team next play Truagh away in Round 2 of the Under 14 Cup Competition Division 1 Group A this Saturday 3rd August at 11:00am. Our Under 14 boys B team had no games in the past week. Our Under 14 boys C Team had no games in the past week. The Under 14 boys C Team next play Carrickmacross at home in Round 4 of the Under 14 Cup Competition Division 5B on Friday 13th August at 7:00pm.
Under 16s
The Under 16 boys had no games in the past week. The Under 16 boys A Team next play Carrickmacross at home in Round 2 of the Under 16 Division 1 Championship Group 1 this Thursday 1st August at 7:30pm. The U16 B team next game is away to Truagh in Round 2 of the Under 16 Division 4 Championship Group 2 this Wednesday 31st July at 7:30pm.
Minors
The minors had no games in the past week. The U18 Minor A Team play Truagh in the final of the Minor Division 1 League Cup on Tuesday August 20th at 7:00pm. The Minor B team next play Aughnamullen away in Round 6 of the Minor Division 6 League this Tuesday 30th July at 8:00pm.
Senior Men
Our Senior men played Corduff at home in the Semi Final of the Senior League cup on Saturday last. Well done in their 0-10 to 1-6 win and they will face Ballybay in the Senior League Cup final. The Senior men next play Ballybay at home in the Greenfield Foods Senior Championship on Saturday 10th August in Round 1 of the Monaghan Senior Football Championship Group 1 at 7:00pm.
Junior Men
Our Junior men had no games in the past week. Our Junior men next play Eire Og at home in Round 2 of the Junior Football Championship on Saturday 17th August at 7:00pm.
Senior Reserves Championship – O’Duffy Cup Final
In the Senior Reserves Championship our Senior Reserves defeated Castleblayney away 4-10 to 0-10 in the Semi Final of the O’Duffy Cup on Wednesday last. Well done on the win and on reaching the final. The final of the O’Duffy Cup is this Wednesday 31st July against Magheracloone in Drumhowan at 7:30pm.
Senior Division 1A Reserves
In the league our Senior Reserves play Magheracloone in the final of the Division 1A Reserve League Cup this Sunday 4th August at 2:00pm. We wish our Senior Reserves all the best in the both finals.
Junior Division 3B Reserves
The Division 3B reserves had no games in the past week. The Junior Division 3B Reserves next play Inniskeen at home on Sunday 11th August at 12:30pm in Round 9 of the Reserve League Division 3B.
Under 12 Boys League Competition

Our Under 12 Boys A team next play Truagh away in Round 3 of the U12 Division 1 League Competition this Saturday 3rd August at 11:00am. Well done to our Under 12 Boys B team who defeated Monaghan Harps at home in Round 5 of the U12 Division 4 League Competition on Sunday last. Our Under 12 Boys B team next play Inniskeen in Round 6 of the U12 Division 4 League Competition on Sunday August 11th at 11:00am. Hard luck to our Under 12 Boys C Team in their defeat against Toome away in Round 6 of the U12 Division 6 League Competition on Saturday last. Our Under 12 Boys C Team next play Blackhill at home in Round 7 of the U12 Division 6 League Competition next Tuesday 6th August at 7:00pm.
Senior Ladies
The Senior Ladies game against Donaghmoyne away in Round 7 of the LGFA Senior league scheduled for Sunday last was cancelled.
Under 18 Minor Girls
The Scotstown minor girls had no games in the past week. They next play Castleblayney away in the Semi Final of the U18 Division 1 League this Thursday August 1st at 7:15pm.
Under 16 Girls
Our Under 16 girls had no games in the past week. The Under 16 girls A team play Magheracloone in the Final of the LGFA Under 16 Division 1 League cup next Monday 5th August at 8:00pm. We wish them all the best in the final.
Under 14 Girls
Our Under 14 girls played Castleblayney in the Under 14 Division 1 League final on Monday last in Cloghan. Hard luck to the team and management in the defeat, but well done on reaching the final and making a spirited comeback in the second half.
Under 12 Girls
Our Under 12 girls commenced their proper leagues during the past week. Well done to the Under 12 girls A team in their win against Castleblayney away in Round 1 of the U12 Division 1 League Proper on Wednesday last. Well done to the Under 12 girls B team in their win against Latton at home in Round 1 of the U12 Division 3 League Proper on Friday last. Well done to the Under 12 girls C team in their win against Killanny at home in Round 1 of the U12 Division 4 League Proper on Saturday last.

On Tuesday 30th July our U18 Minor B Team play Aughnamullen away in Round 6 of the Minor Division 5 League at 7:30pm.
On Wednesday 31st July our Senior Reserves play Magheracloone in the Final of the Reserve Championship O’Duffy Cup at 7:30pm in Drumhowan and the Under 16 boys B team play Truagh away in Round 2 of the Under 16 Division 4 Championship Group 2 at 7:30pm.
On Thursday 1st August our Under 18 Minor girls team play Castleblayney away in the Semi Final of the LGFA Under 18 Division 1 League at 7:15pm and the Under 16 boys A team play Carrickmacross at home in Round 2 of the Under 16 Division 1 Championship Group 1 at 7:30pm.

2024 Monaghan Club Football Championship draws
Monaghan GAA have held the draws for this year’s adult men championships. In the Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship, our senior men drew Aughnamullen, Ballybay, Corduff and Cremartin. and are in Group 1. The fixtures are; Saturday 10th August at 7:00pm home to Ballybay; Sunday 18th August at 2:00pm away to Aughnamullen; weekend 8th September home to Corduff and weekend 15th September away to Cremartin.
In the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship, our Junior Men drew Aghabog, Drumhowan, Éire Óg, and Sean McDermotts and are in Group 1. The fixtures are; Saturday 17th August at 7:00pm, home to Éire Og; Sunday 25th August at 2:00pm away to Sean McDermotts; weekend 8th September home to Drumhowan and weekend 15th September away to Aghabog. We wish the players and managements on both teams all the best in this year’s Championships.

Scotstown GAA Online Club Lotto – Jackpot €6,600

In the July 24th draw, there was NO Jackpot winner. Numbers drawn on the night were 4, 10, 12, 25. Health and Wellbeing
Scotstown GAA continues this year with its Healthy Club project which aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve.
Early in the year we continued the Make a Ceili initiative which was launched before Christmas. In January / February saw the start of the Operation Transformation walk, the Scotstown Ladies hosted a Women’s Health talk, a drugs and Alcohol awareness workshop with our coaches, and we had several card nights during the first quarter. During May we had the Hello How are you? Campaign.
Refreshments for after Blessing of the graves
The Blessing of the graves take place this Sunday 4th August after 11:30am mass in St Mary’s Urbleshanny and at after 10:00am mass at St. Dympna’s Tydavnet. We will be having tea and chat afterwards in the Scotstown Complex after the Urbleshanny blessings and there will also be tea in Tydavnet Community Centre after the Tydavnet blessings.
